Original Goal: 2D Super Simple  Polished Unity Game

Game Jam Theme: Absorption

  • Saturday (9/24 -3h): Idea &  Super Basic Functionality
  • Friday (9/30 -2h): Particles & Polish
  • Saturday (10/1 - 8h): Created the Game Loop, 3 Levels, Main Menu, Results Menu, High Score, & "How to Play"
  • Sunday (10/2 - 4h): Audio, Publish, Screenshots, Icon, Devlog

Total Hours: 17 (Over 4 Days)

Tips/Things Learned: 

  • Used Git for the First Time
  • Have Multiple Scripts/Classes/Functions Running Your Game -- Otherwise It's a Spaghetti Project like mine.
  • Use Simple Names for Everything in Your Project -- Feels Like a Less Messy Project unlike mine.
  • Game Functionality is only 1/3 of your game; Graphics & Audio Makeup the other 2/3s.
